Pricing & Packages

Three ways to start, one honest answer on price

MetroFarms sells container farms in three package tiers, from a single standard unit to a multi-container fleet. Every figure below is indicative — your final price depends on configuration, site and delivery location.

The short version: indicative pricing starts from around €120,000 for a single Starter container, with our most-chosen configuration — Grower — from €145,000, the same indicative capex used as the default on the ROI & Economics calculator. Multi-unit fleets are quoted per project. Nothing here is a firm quote until we've reviewed your site.

Financing eligibility depends on your business, lender and site, and is not confirmed by this table — see Grants & financing below.

Grants & financing · Netherlands

Categories worth exploring, not confirmed partnerships

MetroFarms doesn't currently have confirmed grant or lender partnerships to point you to. What we can do is flag the general categories of support that typically exist in the Netherlands for sustainable and agtech capital equipment, so you know what to ask about — and help you work through your specific eligibility on a demo call.

Green & sustainability-linked financing

Banks and specialist lenders in the Netherlands sometimes offer preferential terms on loans for equipment with a clear sustainability case — such as reduced water and land use versus field farming. Terms, providers and eligibility criteria vary and would need to be checked directly with a lender.

Regional agritech & innovation grants

Dutch regions and innovation bodies periodically run grant or subsidy programmes aimed at agricultural technology, sustainability or SME innovation. Availability, amounts and qualifying criteria change over time — we'd recommend checking current schemes with a regional business advisor rather than relying on this page.

Equipment leasing

Leasing a container farm rather than buying outright is a common way to spread capex for equipment-heavy businesses, and is generally available through commercial leasing providers. We can talk through how a lease might affect your ROI model on a demo call.

Important: the categories above are general guidance, not confirmed MetroFarms partnerships, named schemes or promised amounts. We haven't included specific Dutch grant-scheme or agency names here because availability and terms change and eligibility is always case-by-case — book a demo and we'll help you work out what's realistic for your site and business.
Common questions

People also ask

Is this a final price?

No. Every figure on this page is indicative and marked "from" — final pricing depends on your configuration, site conditions, delivery location and any financing arrangement, and is confirmed in a written quote after a demo call.

Can I finance a container?

Financing routes such as equipment leasing and sustainability-linked loans are commonly used for agtech capital equipment in the Netherlands. MetroFarms doesn't have confirmed lender or grant partnerships to name here — we'll talk through the categories worth exploring and your eligibility during a demo call.

What's the difference between Starter and Grower?

Starter is a single container with a standard crop configuration. Grower adds the premium sensor and ML package plus structured onboarding support, and is the configuration used as the default indicative capex (from €145,000) on our ROI & Economics calculator.
